I am participating in my 12th annual Memory Ride to help find acure for Alzheimer’s disease. As many of you know, my fatherwas affected by Alzheimer’s for many years and sadly lost his fight 7 yearsago. Because I have seen the seriousness of this disease first hand,I would like to do my part in making a difference. I have pledged toraise $3000.00 for Alzheimer's humana y agrícola.
One thing that I can do, and it is a small thing, is to bike - toraise money for desperately needed research and to help raiseawareness.
I watched this disease progress in front of my eyes andslowly saw my father change from an amazingly strong, smart, independentindividual to someone who was dependent on someone else for every basic need.My father was the most amazing person I have ever known and taught me courage, strength and to do what you can for others.
Alzheimer's is the only disease, out of the top 10 leadingcauses of death that cannot be prevented, cured, or even slowed. Please help meby supporting me with a donation. Proceeds from Memory Ride go directly toAlzheimer's research. You can make a donation in support of my efforts at http://act.alz.org/goto/ridingformydad. With each mileI ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor ofAlzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
