I am writing to you today because I am participating in an incredibly meaningful event that is happening on May 7th – The Ride to End Alzheimer’s-DC. I am riding in memory of my close friend Karen's dad, James Scheers, and also to honor my friend Danny's battle with early onset Alzheimer’s. I am ready to go the distance for all those affected by this devastating disease.
The Ride to End Alzheimer’s-DC is a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease. This is an event that is close to my heart, as I have seen firsthand the effects of Alzheimer’s on the lives of those affected by it. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care.
As a participant in The Ride to End Alzheimer’s-DC, I am committed to raising awareness and funds for this cause. My goal is to raise $500, and I am riding on Team Scheers, whose goal is to raise over $2,000. With your help, we can make a real difference in the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
I am inspired by science and the promise of new treatments and therapies. I am passionate about making a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s and supporting the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to find a cure.
Will you please consider making a donation to support my ride? Every dollar raised goes directly towards the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Your support means so much to me, and it will help to honor the memory of James Scheers and support Danny and all those who are battling Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for your consideration and your support. Together, we can make a difference!
