Por qué viajo: I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. This disease has affected several members of my family, and I want to honor them and those who care for them with my efforts. My mother and my aunt teamed up to provide comfort and dignity to my grandfather as he faced dementia. My sister-in-law and my father are fortunate to have people and places who support them beautifully, but not everyone can be so lucky. Better yet if no one needed this type of help.
