I ride for my Grandfather Robert Radliff, Jr., aka. "Grandpa Bob", who passed away after suffering a fast progression of Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 68 in 1999. He worked as a supervisor at AT & T Telephone, NYC. He was a West Nyack, NY resident for 25 years until moving to Florida with my grandmother to Jensen Beach and then Hobe Sound. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Navy. He enjoyed travel, golf, boating and riding motorcycles. He donated his brain to science in an effort to contribute to research for a cure for this horrible disease. My grandfather was unfortunately taken away from my family too soon, stripping me of the opportunity to have a long term relationship with him. Anyone who knew my grandfather spoke highly of him his loyalty and devotion to provide for his family. My favorite thing I can remember was his smile! I ride in support of the Alzheimer's foundation so others with loved ones suffering from this disease may have the opportunity to get more precious time! If able, please consider making a contribution on my page - I hope to reach $1000!
For those interested in my planned bike route - I plan to ride from Woodland Park to Palmer Lake, CO, a 40mile round trip on August 24th, 2024. I estimate the ride will take me approximately 5 hours with an approximate total elevation gain of 4075ft (round trip).
¡Anímame!
