I walk for my father. He battled early onset Alzheimer's and passed at 65. I lost him 2 years ago. I think about him every minute. He put his heart into ensuring special needs students recieved the best education and care possible. My dad loved his family so deeply. He was an avid cyclist. He made the best challah French toast and rock hard matzo balls. Always made me laugh. My dad was silly and goofy. He didn't care what other people thought. Always knew when I needed a hug. My dad was a comfort and security that i miss every minute of everyday.
El Alzheimer's association gave my family so much needed support through our long difficult journey. They gave us one on one meetings, support groups, guidance and understanding through each days struggle.
