I am walking in support of my Mum who we lost this year to young-onset Dementia and my Nanny who is now dealing with cognitive difficulties. I want to raise as much money as possible for research, treatments and a cure because I don't ever want another family to go through what mine is. Not only does this disease affect the person battling it, but the whole family. And since it is hereditary I don't want my children to have to see me suffer from this disease someday and it terrifies me that they might some day be diagnosed with this also.
There is so much research being done at this time for treatments, cures, and preventions that I am finally feeling HOPEFUL that we will find an END TO ALZHEIMER'S for my family and yours!!
