For those who didn’t have the privilege of knowing my father, he was an extraordinary man—intelligent, compassionate, patient, and caring (and the list could go on). He was not only my role model but also my best friend throughout my life. Tragically, he was taken from us too soon just a few years ago, and not a day goes by that my family and I don’t feel his absence deeply. Yet, this month brings us comfort as we gather to honor his memory together.
