This disease has affected every generation of my family. While my parents are physically still here, I miss them dearly. I miss being able to call them and tell them about the kids and know they truly understand. I miss being able to ask for parenting advice or share the ups and downs with them. I also miss the tremendous impact I know they would otherwise be having on all of their grandchildren.
This disease is cruel and I'm fearful my children will not only have to witness their mother go through the same, but may ultimately suffer as well. However, there is hope through the Alzheimer's Association! Together we can help find a cure.
