Alzheimer’s took the life out of two of the most important people in my life. I watched this disease turn the most lively of ladies into mere shells of their once spunky and sweet selves. This disease has no timeline or mercy and runs at its own speed. There’s no stopping it or slowing it down. One must quickly accept the new and ever changing change and decline in their loved ones body and mind. But what Alzheimer’s can’t take away is love. It will never overcome the love we have for those who fight until their last day. It will never erase the memories we have of our loved ones. Alzheimer’s may have won the battle, but we cannot let it win the war!
